Basic Salary £33,000 OTE £43,000-£48,000 Plus a £6,000 Car Allowance

My client one of the world’s leading government-regulated awarding/membership bodies is currently looking for a Key Account Manager for the North Region covering from Liverpool to Newcastle and Sheffield to the Border of Scotland.

 

Solid account management and business development experience promoting membership, members services, sector interest groups, training, events, audits or sponsorship or similar

 

The purpose of the role

 

Acquire, develop, manage and retain a portfolio of Key Accounts selling the full range of services across multiple locations and business divisions.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual individual sales targets and agreed KPIs.

Drive engagement with members and non-members at a senior level to develop deep commercial and strategic relationships.

Ensure that services are delivered meeting client expectations in conjunction with the operations team and relevant internal stakeholders.

 

Key Duties

 

Grow the customer base & maximise territory revenue by acquiring, managing and developing Key Accounts via the development and execution of a clear sales plan

Develop, manage and maintain a strong, accurate and visible sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing providing regular and accurate forecast updates

Regularly visit clients face to face in line with commercial planning and as requested by the customer. Utilise these meetings as well as other communications to develop a deep understanding of our current and potential customers industries, and the challenges they face.

Collaborate with other members of the Key Account team in developing and implementing a sales strategy contributing to the annual income budget, whilst supporting colleagues on the team as required to ensure collective client satisfaction and targets are achieved

Work with internal stakeholders to develop bespoke products utilising an in-depth understanding of a client’s needs, oversee the deployment and delivery of the product in conjunction with the relevant teams ensuring that the client is satisfied from end-to-end

Keep up to date with all products and services offered by and competitors as well as maintaining a broad and deep understanding of the Health & Safety and related industries

Follow up on leads generated by sales initiatives & campaigns within designated timeframes

Maintain accurate customer records using the CRM system (Salesforce)

Ensure that profit margins are maintain in the delivery of all transactions and manage own costs within allocated budgets

Represent at internal and external events, seminars and conferences

Adhere to all administration procedures within the expected timeframes

 

 

Essential

 

Solid account management and business development experience promoting membership, members services, sector interest groups, training, events, audits or sponsorship or similar

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent verbal, written, presentation & communication skills

Excellent IT skills

Excellent negotiation skills at all levels

Excellent organisation, time management skills and ability to prioritise at all times

Full Clean Driving Licence.

Experience and Knowledge of Health & Safety related industry

Experience of working in a field based team utilising internal support functions

Experience of delivering profitable results in a corporate solution selling environment

Experience of setting and achieving challenging objectives

 

Desirable

 

Experience of competing for and winning large tender opportunities

5 years experience as a Key Account Manager

Experience in the not-for-profit sector

Salesforce usage
