Basic Salary £23,000-£24,000 (dependant on experience) with excellent benefits
14 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover), Full Time
My client a reputable membership organisation based in City of London close to Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Bank is currently searching for a Membership Administrator on a 14 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover).
The main areas you will be responsible for are Membership administration, Member events, Administrator to the Next Generation Group Committee & Website and social media
Organising annual renewals and collecting membership subscriptions.
Proactively managing the membership database and ensuring that everything is
kept up to date.
Providing prospective new members with information about joining the membership organisation and then
processing their membership applications.
Processing student members (free membership) and then encouraging them to
become full members once they graduate.
Co‐ordinating all Next Generation events, including seminars, workshops and social
Co‐ordinating member drinks events in London.
Assisting other members of the team at seminars, annual lunches and dinners etc.
This will involve some early mornings, evenings and possibly once or twice a year
having to stay away overnight.
Liaising with the committee chairman.
Organising meetings, preparing papers prior to committee meetings; and
Taking minutes of the meetings and following up the agreed action points
Ensuring the website pages relating to membership and groups and committees
are kept up to date.
Maintaining the membership of LinkedIn groups.
Preparing membership analysis and reports as required.
Providing assistance to committees and the Executive.
Pro-active, problem solver, high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience working with databases (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) is essential. Proficient use of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): confident in speaking with and liaising professionally with all corporate levels.
Excellent time management skills: able to manage own workload but with the ability to take on ad-hoc requirements from the team, multitasking and working to tight deadlines.
Experience of working in an office environment.
Experience as a membership administrator working for a trade association, professional body, chartered institute, royal society or other membership based organisation.
