12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time
My client a reputable and established chartered institute based in Edinburgh is currently searching for a Project Manager on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the Monitoring Project which is a high profile regulatory project to implement the proposals for a system to monitor the quality of the institutes work.
Support the Project Lead to:
Manage the project on a day to day basis.
Manage development of a monitoring system.
Manage the consultation process of the proposed system.
Manage the implementation of the system.
Ensure relevant Council, boards and committees are engaged with the project.
Ensure that project frameworks are adhered to.
Deliver appropriate documentation to allow project outcomes to be embedded operationally.
Knowledge and Experience Required
At least 5 years of successful project management experience with proven track record.
Hold Project management certification (for example Prince2)
Graduate or equivalent experience.
Experience managing complex projects.
Experience of standard PM responsibilities: Project planning, Forecasting and estimatin, Monitoring and reporting, Risk and issue management, Finance management and budgeting
Experience of stakeholder management and building positive relationships with stakeholders.
Demonstrable interpersonal skills – able to inspire confidence in others and to motivate, influence and persuade.
Experience of Change Management.
Strong organisational skills.
Strong communicator – both written and spoken, with attention to detail.
Self-starter – able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
Creative thinker and problem solver.
Experience of managing projects within a professional regulatory environment.
Working with, and understanding of, a volunteer community.
People management within a multi-site, international organisation.
